Titleist Tips: 3 Point Game to Improve Shot Making Skills
To hit accurate golf shots, you must be certain of three things:
1. The initial launch direction of your golf ball (on target/right of target/left of target)
2. The curve direction of your golf ball (curving right to left/curving left to right/straight)
3. The amount of curve on your golf ball (minimal/moderate/maximum/none)
If you can control all three of these elements you can plan shots that start, fly and finish where you intend. If you don't have this level of command, golf becomes a game of "hit and hope" and ugly shots are forever lurking.
So how do you build a confident degree of certainty in your shot-making? It really boils down to practicing intelligently, and fortunately for us, Titleist staff members Cameron McCormick and Corey Lundberg have just the ticket.
In this video, Cameron and Corey share a great practice game they call "3 Point" that you can use to challenge yourself, track your progress and build the skills you'll need to hit different golf shots on command and work your way with authority around the golf course.
